Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Folks, Just Turn Off The Fake News

Posted 06-15-2020 at 10:25 AM by case44

Conservatives and independents (and anyone else with a conscience and a brain), you have no reason to feel dispirited. Zero. About ninety percent of our nation's media just wants to bring you down. They want to take you away from the greatness of our great America.

Tired of feeling dispirited? Here's what you can do.

Turn off Good Morning America.

Turn off The Today Show.

Turn off CBS This Morning.

Turn off CNN Newsroom (and practically anything else they have).

Turn off The Last Word.

Turn off Morning Joe.

Turn off Morning Express (Robin Meade desperately needs a new profession).

Turn off NBC Nightly News.

Turn off The CBS Evening News.

Turn off ABC World News Tonight.

Turn off 60 Minutes.

You see where this is going?

In addition, cancel your subscriptions to any newspaper not named the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. Just throw the papers out.

People are thirsting for the truth. You're not going to get it from Fake News. And you know why they are doing it.

Thank God above for the internet and talk radio. And thank God that I can still keep in touch with my president by following him on Twitter. This writer, like many of you, is on a need-to-know basis.

They laid off some of the paid media from your list.

Well, they need to do some more. Earlier this year, I made suggestions on this blog about some new news networks. Someone out there has to be chomping at the bit to get something like that going. One America is good, don't misunderstand, but it's still the only channel that offers actual newscasts while, at the same time, speaking for the people. They just need a little competition. Fox is teetering a bit and needs to get rid of its pollster. Newsmax is good, but focuses so much on discussion. All the others? Not worth a flip.
