Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Perhaps Project Veritas Should Win The Murrow Award For Exposing CBS

I probably shouldn't crow about this too much, since, after all, good things come in surprises. And, sometimes, surprises can come from the best-kept secrets.

And when it comes to uncovering corruption in our country, who needs the Fake News media when you have people like Project Veritas? This --- this --- is America's best-kept secret and an organization that, still, many people still don't know about. They're there, nonetheless, and they're back with more honest investigative reporting, getting their hands dirty this time at the Tiffany Network headquarters. CBS News sent reporters to a hospital in Michigan to make longer lines to look like more people are waiting for COVID-19 testing. Well, here comes Project Veritas, making their expose of CBS News and their attempts at staging a news story with one aim: to make President Donald J. Trump look bad. Their shamefully obvious goal is to destroy, quite possibly, the greatest President our nation has had since a chap named Reagan. Why the hell else would these news outlets be doing garbage like this? Sadly, that's all that the CNNs and the ABCs and NBCs have all been doing for the last three-plus years (actually, longer since they fought long and hard to protect Trump's alleged predecessor, a so-called "president" with the name of Obama). Anyhow, CBS is just the latest by taking a page out of CNN's playbook.

Now, the hospital workers who took part in this episode probably should have been better off saying "no" to the network workers, don't you think? It's a real mess on both sides, but especially CBS, since this was the network that brought everybody the great Edward R. Murrow. I'm wondering if Murrow would even approve of this type of undertaking. I'm not sure if even Walter Cronkite, biased as he was in his day, would even approve of this. They'd both be hard-pressed (if they were alive) to take into consideration the work of James O'Keefe and the folks at Project Veritas, who are bringing Americans more than just news; they're bringing us the truth!

Forget all of the misuses of that vaunted Pulitzer Prize. It's overrated, folks. Maybe it's Project Veritas who deserves an Edward R. Murrow Award for real journalism that hits home in so many ways. And with all the mistrust America has in an evermore corrupt media, this is a refreshing change.

At least, Project Veritas has integrity.

    Think about it.
