Turkey: Murdering and Bombing Through NW Syria. And...?

(NOTE: response to a FB thread, local to my town, that Turkey must be "held accountable" for their behavior in attacking Kurds and restoring order to a lawless land. I'm not on any "side" here, they're all murdering terrorists in my view, but some are indeed our geopolitical allies, thus "our" murdering terrorists, it would seem!)
LOL. Turkey isn't going to be "held accountable" by anyone, they are needed as allies in other matters. The United States and other Western powers make deals with the Devil all the time, e.g. anything do to with those sinister Middle Eastern monarchies. In Turkey's case, their wily and authoritarian (and probably Islamist) PM, Erdogan, threatens Europe with the release of 3.6M "refugees" straight into Greece if they're "held accountable." So Europe shuts up.
Europe needs 3.6M MORE "refugees" storming their shores like they need a hole in the head, like the debacle of c. 2015 w/1 M "refugees" being let into Germany by Angela Merkel. They don't assimilate, it's an alien culture into the likes of France and Germany, neither known for easy integration of refugees.
We pulled troops out of that cesspool for whatever reason couple months ago to let them sort their own problems, and (I suspect) because our President has an inherent abhorrence of Middle East entanglements: Turkey's been fighting Kurd terrorists for decades. Syria bombed the hell out of (whomever) and "accidentally" killed 50 Turkish troops, so here come the threats of releasing refugees on Europe again and maybe...maybe...starting a military conflict with the Syrian Army. Which would sow unbelievable chaos throughout that region.
Turkey does't care, they're a hard-hearted bunch. What will we do, threaten them? We're both NATO! Our government wants nothing further to do with the whole cesspool, and good riddance, damn the torpedoes (which sows humanitarian catastrophes). the only long term stability comes when the Syrian Army establishes control over the region. That's between them and Turkey at this point, and a tough negotiation. Not the United States' problem, we seem to have decided.
