Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

A Look Back At The Vape Store Meltdown

Posted 02-10-2019 at 11:55 AM by case44

I'm sure a few of you caught this crazy account on YouTube, but it's also been covered by Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity on their radio shows a few months ago. An incident had taken place in an Atlanta-area vape store. We watched either with horror or with humor that said incident apparently sparked, and it hit a nerve either way. Ian Furgeson was testing a counter guy, and all he was doing was minding his business and needing to buy some vape juice. And the counter guy refused to let him have it.

Why? Because Ian was supporting President Donald Trump and wearing MAGA gear.

That's what prompted Ian to begin filming this situation.

I've got the link to it, as this is one of several available on YouTube. Now, be warned: A lot of the dialogue is bleeped out due to very foul language. Here it is:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvFlrnymW_o

Never mind the lunacy of the guy at the counter, who is supposed to be an adult, but, instead, chose to act like a six-year-old kid. Ian Furgeson had good intentions by exposing and explaining. Regarding his methods, however, Ian should have been a little calmer and should have refrained from using bad language or calling the guy names. In the end, he should not have flipped him off, either. There are ways of dealing with these misguided, horrendous, left-wing snowflakes without letting them get to you. Confront them? Yes, but don't go overboard.

And as for the guy behind the counter, he got fired the next day. He deserved it, folks. He was practicing discrimination and should have just let things be, regardless of what he sees. Just sell him the vape juice, snowflake, and let him get on his way. He'll be out of the store in less than a minute. Just like that.

If conservatives plan to set an example of civility to show jaded leftists, then we need to do better with it and model it. That's right; even when we expose them like Ian Furgeson did, and even if they make us mad. And they will.

    The power of social media.

By the way, Ian would eventually go back and establish a good customer relationship with the managing team at Xhale City and make additional visits, and they were peaceful. For that, there is definitely a happy ending. Capitalism wins. America wins.

    And liberalism............loses.
