hunterseat df: Hunter Seat Equitation is a division that is judged on the ability and the style of the rider. The riders can be judged both over fences and on the flat.

Although true, hunters DO eat, at least the skilled ones do, my name derives from the world of horses.

And because the word hunter is in my name, people automatically think I'm a guy. Not even close.

Whenever I meet someone named Hunter I have to bite my tongue to keep from saying "That's my name, too!"

ETA:this is about how Christians interact with homosexuals. Just FYI
I'm a Bible believer. Not a thumper but I do consider the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God. It helps me live my life in a way that is most fulfilling to me. Like following the roadmap that I was designed to proceed on. (Sorry about that preposition) It makes life choices easy, too.

In His Word, what does Jesus say is the most important commandment? Love God - with all that you are. LOVE HIM. You know if you do that, all those other commandments will be fulfilled, right? You know that, right?

So once I was in a new Sunday school class. It was a group of "mature" women (old biddies ) and they were GOSSIPING (yes they were, right there in class) about a woman of a different faith who complained about the teacher repeatedly taking the Lord's name in vain. I (being a newbie and not much appreciated) remarked that it should be our position to not allow that. WE should be the ones complaining.
One of the OB's smugly turned her narrowed eyes to me with an air of superiority and said "Oh, I do that all the time." (use the Lord's name in vain - as if it's no big deal). Well it is a big deal, possibly the biggest.

Have you ever thought about the way some people use the Lord's name - that you could substitute a vile curse word in its place?
"Oh GAWD!" / "Oh h-ll, oh sh-t"

Why are we using God's name as a curse word? He hears our every word. Can you imagine how it pierces His heart when we call his name as a curse instead of calling his name in prayer?

Anyway, we are to love God with everything within us.

That's not really why I wanted to write this. I'm new to my community (literally just drove 6 days to the opposite coast). I love that there's a fb page here called "Shoutouts" which gives us all an opportunity to shine a light on a good deed or a business that went above and beyond. It specifies not to make negative comments.

One young man made a post/shoutout for the support he received when he stood up in the Town Hall meeting about a cause he was passionate about. Is the cause Biblical? Not at all.

I didn't reply. His post wasn't promoting that cause. His speech at the meeting was, certainly. But this wasn't the time or place to debate that cause. I just passed by without acknowledging. HOWEVER several people began a very boisterous and somewhat hurtful discussion until the young man deleted his original post.

LOVE GOD, Love each other. The only other commandment we need. LOVE EACH OTHER. God was willing to be sacrificed to cover the sins of the world. The whole world. All of us.

The Bible says we've all sinned and have fallen short. Whether it's taking the Lord's name in vain, or grabbing a garbage bag from work because you need to clean out your car during lunch, or talking about someone in a way that does NOT lift them up (gossip)... or a total lifestyle that is specifically spoken against in the Bible. REMAIN SOBER - how many beers do you drink? Enough to catch a buzz? Do you tithe as the Bible directs? “A sin, by any other name, smells as rancid to the nose of God?” We ALL fall so short. But we are all equally as loved by God.

Let's not tear each other down, even if we don't agree on (fill in the blank). They shall know you by the love you have for one another. How do they know you? Would that young man be willing to sit down to a cup of coffee and listen as you present your testimony to him, if not the good news of the Gospel?

People put down your swords. It's not our battle to fight. Plant the seeds of love and watch what the Holy Spirit can do with them!

So as I go try churches, may I find one that has love enough for all people.
