Back to School in Okaloosa County

First week back in school and I know many parents and students are rushing around getting supplies and paperwork signed and returned to the schools. It's such a busy time for families but such an exciting time. Both of my boys were educated here in Okaloosa County and we are so lucky to have great schools and we are surrounded by some very caring educators.

I've loved seeing all the first day of school posts on Facebook this week with kids dressed in their new clothes heading off for a new year. For people just moving to the area and starting school here for the first time there is a lot to take in and a lot to learn about the area.

You can find just about any sport that you want around here. There's football, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, swimming, track, tennis, flag football, t-ball, and the list goes on. There's dance teams and cheerleading, there's gymnastics, surfing, skating.... what a great place to live with so many great activities. Whether your child is athletic, musical, academic, dramatic, artistic, scientific.... there is a place for them. Spend a little time investigating the opportunities and I know before long you will find the perfect match!
