UPDATED-Transfer in near future....Opinions Please

[quote=Mrs.Bailey;50380592]Hello, my husband is being transferred in the near future and I need some opinions on where I should and shouldn’t be looking for a rental townhome.
He is going to be out of town most of the time working at different mines in the state and it was suggested to him that we look in the Mesa area for a place to rent. We don’t want to buy until we are certain we are going to like the area and want to be planted in the neighborhood. Below are some of the important points that need to be met for our rental.
I will be home alone (no kids) for the majority of the time, so it needs to be quite safe.
We have a dog, so a decent dog park is needed close by. (Within15-20 minute drive))
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, so a good rheumatologist close would be great. (15-20 minute drive)
At least a 2 car attaches garage.
A decent grocery store within 5-10 minute drive.
I haven’t been down there yet, but I will be heading down next month and would like a heads start on where to look and where to avoid.
P.S. I know there are tons of threads like mine, but I am hoping you all might be able to help me out with my specific requirements.
Thanks!
****UPDATE****
We are looking for a community that is similar to the daybreak community in South Jordan, UT.
With lots of open space, man made lakes, parks, and master planned homes.
