Actually, I do remember.
I thought it would be nice for others to mention them as well.
Remember the horse stable @ Brackenridge Park?
I thought those gals in jeans were nice on the eyes!
I rented one.(horse that is)
I noticed that the horses were trained to return at a certain time back
to the stable. At least my horse did.
I recall the ladies of the evening by playland park and surrounding areas.
I use to see them on my way to work and also on my way home.
I worked downtown on Durango Blvd. (KWEX)
I always preferred driving on Broadway instead of 281.
It was less hectic around 5 with the traffic.
The Japanese or Chinese Sunken Garden.
I spent many evenings there with a lovely gal.
We never did camp at Brackenridge Park to reserve a spot for Easter.
I wonder if that is still done today?
There was a boat shop on the corner of Broadway close to downtown.
At this moment I can’t think of the name. (Barbera Sports, not sure.)
Paul Anderson stationary on Broadway & Travis that is now an antique shop.
Pincus Mens Shop on Broadway & Houston St.
My niece & her husband were part owners of that place.
And Market Square when the trucks carrying produce would gather to
sell their crops.
That’s as fresh as you could get to delicious vegetables and watermelon.
I thought it would be nice for others to mention them as well.

Do you remember the driving range near the Breckenridge stables?
I do recall the boat dealer, but the name fails me
Do you remember the King of Clubs off Broadway, downtown?
I've forgotten the name of the Chrysler dealer on Broadway that ran the "flagpole sitter" promo which was advertised on KTSA back in the 1950's. Turns out, the "pole" sitter would make occasional trips down from his "Pole Sitting" job...really blew the promo, which disappeared overnight!
One other notable location was the Witte Museum. Always enjoyed our grade school field trips to the Witte.
(Guess Alligator Farm sorta covered Witte.. )
