Understood the days of commissioning rated aviators are past.
My comments were intended to suggest the OP gain actual flight experience prior to committing.
The military can only determine if a candidate is qualified, there is no guarantee. Every individual that flunks flight school was once "qualified" to be in school. Qualification is no guarantee of successfully completing flight school. In recent years, the percentage of flight school "drops" is now in single digits, I'm told. (Some of that statistic may be the result of "adjusted" standards based on "protected" class diversity!
Ala John McCain and Ms Hiltgren!)
In any event, I'd want to confirm to my own satisfaction that I could do it, based on having done it!
Good Luck!
