Precious tea tins,Easter time and feathering the nest
Well I wrote a lot of novel ideas yesterday, country houses, affairs, baronial families mostly I wrote dialogue about Anglo Saxon poetry.
But now I'm at the end of my tethers with being ill and don't know what to do about it,I want eggplant, zucchini and mushroom pasta and a whole new life.I worked on my boards this morning and added this sweet olive tweed cover I found for my kindle (you can see below),I'm just completely in love with it and it's little emblem,as well as a handmade leather bag. When I was decorating the cottage in my book I imagined so many framed poems on the walls by Tennyson etc, you can get quotes, poems, vows or anything written in calligraphy here on etsy and then frame them. What a nice thing to see everyday as you walk about your little nest.So many dear things I want for my bday, after spending all morning on fortnum and masons food hall I was overwhelmed, I decided what I want most for my birthday is a fine food hamper,so that's what I'm going to get, made to my selection.Unfortunately you can't get sweet chocolate hedgehogs,Dorset cheddar or strawberry and gooseberry preserve here.
Still trying to find a kindred spirit to talk about Liberty bangles, fortnum and mason teas, family history and Bloomsbury fringe with but can't find such a person, where can I find such a person. The World Wide Web being so vast you'd think there would be aplenty.
Watched Cranford ; a costume series,it's a bit old lady and prim I found it a bit gloomy mostly I'm in the mood for looking at lovely things.I dabbled with the idea of starting a little tea company instead of a perfumery, loose leaf tea in precious tins,I was much keener on the idea as tea is my favourite pastime.I really think it would suit me perfectly but I must wait till I am well to really ponder it.Feel like English breakfast tea (my favourite) with buns right now.I forgot it's Easter and this holiday is important to me,the sacred egg as the birth of all things and the goddess esotre,I would like some Belgian chocolate Easter eggs to celebrate my own fertility and creativity.Oh well I have none.
Oh I want everything as pretty as a petunia,I really do want to feather the nest but it all seems beyond me.I should be reading my ancient tomes and not mooning over lovely things but really I find everything so precious and worthy.I think I'm going to spend the whole afternoon looking at dear and handmade things.
