Cinnamon muffins,Rosamond and pretty lockets
Sunday was a first class day with a few hiccups,I was in a creative whirl all day and wrote a poem on chaos.I was in a very romantic mode.lamented a bit Monday,why am I not baking cinnamon muffins and looking at sweet little baby clothes.But really I don't want to be one of those people that depresses themselves with notions of others lives.Though there is the life I wish I had, I could just as easily been born to a life living off rice in Bangladesh.
For now I simply want to be well,that would make all the difference in the world.The rest I am trying not to lament.Not even I know why our lives are weaved the way they are,why some people seem to gather all the happinesses of life while others must cope with varied miseries.
Some of it is wise choices,alot of it genes and ancestral,most of it is in my belief the hand of fate.
Im spending much of my time looking at cottagey things on pinterest and making boards for my books,the Celtic board I made really pleases me.I'm also reading Rosamond Lehmann's biography,it's interesting so far reading her literary and well to do childhood,I really bought it to read of her affair with the poet Cecil Day Lewis.After reading her I decided I really need to work on my novels or poetry,and today I'm going to study Celtic poetry.
I have a whole bunch of things I want to commission to have made on etsy,a portrait in pencil,three white cotton nighties,some day dresses and a wrap skirt as I've decided I'm not quite precise enough to be a good seamstress.
You'd really be surprised how cheap it is on etsy to create these things.Id like to have only handmade clothes kept in a lovely woven basket chest.Ive also spent a lot of time looking at antique lockets and I really want a sterling one in a Paisley design.I really want a family crest ring also.Really miss being a jeweller sometimes as jewellery is just so sacred and symbolic to me.
Read this great little article about 18th century perfumery, oh wonderful rose water.My great grandmother x3 had a perfumery, about 1830 I guess, and really the romance of perfumery is something.I long thought of the lovely romantic names I'd give to my perfumes,all poetic and after country villages and full of wildwood scents,orange blossom and berries and plum.All in sweet little tins or lockets.Meanwhile I put all my sweet hopes on my Pinterest and just adore immersing myself in that place of dreams.
