Coastal Cities/Communities

I really liked your Rochester idea, and that upstate area as a whole has some nice scenery. Ithaca is pretty nice as well. Since you mentioned that area, I have had NY on the brain. My S.O. does not love NY, lived there for 10 years and had issues with the cleanliness of the city. Mostly the fact that there are no alleys and the trash is on the street. So unless I can find relatively clean area within NY, then I may consider Nyack. Does Tarrytown have a visible black community? My next options may be Stamford/Norwalk, but I have no experience with those areas. If anyone has live in Stamford or Norwalk, would be great to hear your critique.

The other city I am considering is Toronto, obviously that would involve paperwork and planning. Also, it appears to have gotten mixed reviews by the minority community. My really good friends love it there, but they cannot give me the perspective or review of the black professional scene. Thanks for all your posts, it has been great to have these places to look into.
