Sunday ~~ January 1, 2017 ~~ Welcome to the next year.

I hope all are safely snuggled in and everyone had the New Years Eve celebration they wanted. We stayed home and slept through the ringing in of the New Year, exactly like we wanted.
If you made resolutions I wish you much success with those and if you did not make resolutions I wish you much success as well.
I did not make any resolutions which is the same every year but I do have goals I want to accomplish so I will strive to reach those.

So, what do we talk or write about now? I really am never sure what I am going to write here until I sit down to write. Honestly I wonder often why I continue to write a blog that few read and even fewer leave a comment. Oh well, sometimes it is best to please self than others and appreciate the accomplishment as it is.
I finished a scarf last eve before I went to bed, I have 2 shawls to get the ends woven in properly, washed, dried and given to those who have asked for them. I have several other shawls to get the ends woven in properly, washed, dried and given to whomever wants them.
I have been out of the house more in recent weeks which is a blessing and a curse on many levels. I honestly do not enjoy being out with the general public often. There are too many humans in the same place at the same time, they are loud, some are obnoxious and I feel like I have put my life in someone else's hands while I am driving among them to get to my destination.
I have also seen the Doctor more than I care to and have had a few tests done that one of my Doctor's has been nagging me to get done. On a more joyful note I am getting closer to full recovery from the stroke daily.

In closing this first blog of 2017 I wish you all big dreams, small worries, safety, health and happiness.

I will leave you with a few thoughts to ponder if you choose to do so.

Do you drive around your area and look at all of the Christmas lights?
Do you have a deck on the back of your home?
What is your favorite comfort food?

As usual I wish you restful sleep and peaceful dreams as you wander your timbers of slumber.
