Well opened my new Celtic book for Xmas I greatly enjoyed it .I've read I don't know how many chapters.I enjoyed especially the chapters on poets and seers.
I read about fedelm, and of course the different poetic practices among the celts :
Teinm laeda,(cracking open,Many Irish legends describe the "cracking open" of hazelnuts in order to obtain divine wisdom.)
Imbas forosnai (poetic inspiration)
dichetal di chennaib,(spontaneous composition, allowed by st Patrick while the other two were outlawed for making offerings to pagan dieties)
I have not as yet done anything xmassey and probably won't though I think it's an important tradition. I plan to study sleeping beauty this afternoon a great and important myth and archetype.
Gosh imagine an Edwardian Xmas, what an antiquarian I am.
