Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

A Christmas Card To My Readers
I pride myself as a writer, but not necessarily as a poet. Being that the calendar suggests it's Christmas Eve Eve Eve, I'll just spare you the poetry. Instead, I can simply share what might go on a Christmas card.
Notice that I said might. I haven't gone over to Hallmark and memorized every card. And, no, I'm not applying for work at American Greetings any time soon. So, in the parlance of spontaneity, just use your imagination.
Sharing all the love with you in this Christmas season.
Just spreading some Yuletide cheer for you at Christmas time.
Time to add a little joy to your world. Merry Christmas!
Santa has some good stuff for your stocking.
May all the great treasures of now become the memories of tomorrow. Happy holidays!
Hot chocolate, a little mistletoe, and a gift ribbon: Just three little reminders that the season is here!
Peace, hope, and love. They're all for you in the spirit of Christmas.
What isn't always wrapped in a box can be found wrapped inside my heart. All the very best to you this Christmas season.
May the fireside burn brightly with holiday cheer, and a ray of hope for your New Year!
Wow! I did not know I had it in me. Okay, so one poem got in, but that's still something. With all that said, well, it looks like I've run out of words to express a Merry Christmas to all of you loyal readers out there, but I do want to thank you for taking the time to read through the blog pages all throughout the year. Another great year of blog posts are straight ahead if the good Lord is willing and the creeks don't rise. In case you're keeping count, I have just over 140 posts left until one thousand blog posts, and that feat could happen as early as this next year if not the next.
So, very simply put, a Merry Christmas to you and yours, and a very happy and prosperous New Year!
