Okay, I realize this would never happen, hence I am talking 110% hypothetically. Say we sent tons of nukes to every major area the middle east has from Mecca to....everywhere else, and we took over, what would it mean in the long term?
I felt the need to respond. We don't need to attack the middle-east militarily. We can instead hurt them in the pocket book.

Any countries outside the middle-east need to simply stop buying oil from them. Much better would it be to electrify transportation, greatly expand renewable sources of energy and nuclear energy. We should also improve the safety and environmental friendliness of hydraulic fracturing or find and alternative method to extract oil from tight shale formations.
