Here is an excerpt (still visit that main page):
Overview of Maryland Testing Requirements

How to Qualify for Certification
For initial certification in Maryland, all candidates must:

**Earn a bachelor's or higher degree.
**Complete an approved educator preparation program OR complete the coursework and experience requirements outlined in the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR). Division of State Documents

**Pass The Praxis Series® tests for their certification area or other national, state-approved tests.

See the Maryland State Department of Education for complete testing information.
Certification

PRIVATE SCHOOLS MAY HAVE DIFFERENT CRITERIA. BUT IT DOES SOUND LIKE YOU MAY QUALIFY FOR PUBLIC OR PRIVATE, AFTER TAKING THE TESTS, BASED ON THE LIMITED INFORMATION IN YOUR POST.

I am not currently in the education system, and if you find you are proceeding with a move to Maryland, please let me know - as I can give helpful advice and information in that regard, when you are ready.

Would love to hear what you decide. I hope this has been helpful and good luck!!
Please send me a PM for further help with education or moving to Maryland.
