Important People Doing Important Things!

Welcome to my misanthropic journey through life. Is it almost over? God I hope so.

Another interview

Posted 06-27-2016 at 12:47 PM by peebola

I have another interview scheduled for a non-profit company for a Data Specialist on Thursday. I guess we will see how it goes. I am really good with databases and analysis, however it will probably all ride on personality -- like most interviews.

I have a "slight" problem with getting people to like me, it is the Asperger's in me. Sometimes I am too honest and straightforward and will tell an interviewer that I do not have the exact skills they are looking for, but I am a fast learner. Unfortunately, many people consider truthfulness and honesty as either confrontational or a detriment. That's too bad. When did honesty during an interview get such a bad rap?

BTW, I had a phone interview this morning for an Admin job, but I won't be getting an in person interview because she hesitated when I said my salary was $15/hr.
