Saturday ~~ May 28, 2016 ~~ Gather around and let me tell you.......

Infomercials begin on television at 3:00AM.
Just beware when you have insomnia and the only reason I know this is because Mr. CSD
is sick, he is on the couch asleep and the television has been left on. Otherwise I have no idea what happens on the television since it is only turned on when Mr. CSD is home.

Nothing new or exciting really, our long weekend trip has been cancelled because Mr. CSD is sick but I don't really mind. We can go another time.
I finished crocheting another shawl and it is really pretty. I started with a bright variegated color for 4 rows then changed to a Cherry Red color for many more than 4 rows then finished with the bright variegated color for 4 rows. This shawl will defninitely gain some attention if/when worn in public.
I am currently working on another shawl I had started and I hope to be done with it before the weekend is over. I have two other shawls to get finished as well.
What happens is I get bored with one color or stitch pattern so I start something new and switch between projects. This makes it appear that I do not finish anything which is not true. I finish everything but I work on each item in small time frames.
What I do is set up music and I crochet until that particular group of music has played completely. It can be from two to ten songs by various artists which is determined by how tired I am and what I want to listen to.
There is no rhyme nor reason why it is like this, it just is.
Music is a wonderful part of life in my opinion. Everything from the Sittar to the largest drum available. The lyrics of a song can soothe or enrage, the melody can do the same. You can dance or not, tap your foot or not, do homework or not. You can do nothing but listen to the music or you can use it as back ground while doing something else.
I'm not sure there is anything more soothing than some music, defnitely not all music is soothing though. Some is thought provoking as well which is always a good thing. I truly cannot tolerate rap or screaming though. My ears do not accept that as music but it also depends on the artist as well as the type of music. Anyone who knows music knows what I mean.
The only other thing I can think of right now that is soothing is mowing. All you have to do is mow, no real thought required. You become one with the mower and mow. Line after line of nothing but mowing and you get instant gratification because you can actually see your progress instantly.
For me crocheting, sewing, cross stitch and cooking are pretty theraputic but nothing is more theraputic for me than writing.
Whether it is typing or using pen and paper that is my satisfaction. That is what clears my mind, heart and soul. I rarely if ever read what I have written and there is no agenda when I write, I just write. Nothing more, nothing less.
Whatever words or thoughts show up on the paper is what is there for eternity. Those words even though written on paper in a steno book have been tossed out of my thoughts and into the universe of words.
I wonder how many get hit by those words out in the universe, probably not too many and very few who actually comment on any of them.
Often I wonder what others really think of the words I write and why they don't share their thinks.
Oh well, one of the secrets of the universe of others I am not on the need to know list.

A few thoughts to ponder if you choose to ponder said thoughts:

Do you like popcorn with butter?
Do you visit the zoo at least once every couple years?
Do you prefer an actual jacket or long sleeved shirt when it gets colder?
Do you use big paper clips or small paper clips more often.
What is your ring size?

As usual I wish you restful sleep and peaceful dreams when it comes time for you to wander your timbers of slumber.

At least, nowadays, infomercials are actually more entertaining than watching a test pattern or snow.

Then again, depending on what TV service you have, you'll have lots of choices at night when you just can't sleep.

My mind always thinks of things that others would consider strange, odd or different as well. For example, I wonder why one would reply to any of your blog posts and not answer the questions you ask.

Do you like popcorn with butter? ONLY butter, REAL butter
Do you visit the zoo at least once every couple years? No
Do you prefer an actual jacket or long sleeved shirt when it gets colder? jacket, I don't wear shirts.
Do you use big paper clips or small paper clips more often. big
What is your ring size? 5

I do not have a problem sleeping because when I was going through my tribulation in 2011, I stayed up until all hours, until I knew as soon as my head hit the pillow I'd be out. I still do that to this day. And yet I still wake up at a decent time no matter what time I go to sleep.

My church has a Prayer Shawl Ministry. I received one when I first found/began attending my church during my tribulation. I found it to be very comforting and meaningful. I have given many as gifts since then. You don't have to be a member of a church to do this for others. Find a church or group that does this, you will feel special and useful and know that the receivers of your beautiful talent will be blessed by your shawls.

    Blessings, friend.
