Welcome to my misanthropic journey through life. Is it almost over? God I hope so.

Doughnuts!

Posted 05-22-2016 at 06:40 AM by peebola

There is this local grocery store near my home that has the best filled doughnuts. They have headlights, fog lights, tail lights, long johns, etc.

I was at the grocery store this past week picking up groceries and doughnuts, and I saw a sign on the door, stating that they were looking for part-time help in the bakery (and to apply online).

Yah! I applied this morning to the grocery store. I always wanted to work in a bakery. Of course, the chance of me getting called for an interview is less than zero, as is me getting a part-time bakery job. But I applied anyway. You can't say that I don't try.

I also applied to the horse racing track this morning. Again, the chance of me getting called for an interview is less than zero, as is me getting a seasonal job at the track. But it looks like my job search is going no where, and I now have to apply for any job - part-time, minimum wage, whatever.

If I can just get some income I can save until November and then move to the west coast, where hopefully I can find a decent job and maybe...just maybe...my skills will be appreciated and wanted.

Yum. Tail lights are my favorite. I was rejected from a grocery store once because I refused to list my SSN on the paper application that I had to hand back to the 15 yr old tattooed and pierced juvenile delinquent behind the counter. Oh well, at least my identity wasn't stolen.

Remember, "a rejection is God's protection!" God loves the perpetually unemployed the best.

Does God...does he really? If this is God's "love" for me I will take his indifference instead.
