Sunday ~~ May 22, 2016 ~~ Do you ever feel broken?

Posted 05-22-2016 at 02:18 AM by CSD610

I don't mean broke as in no money or bones that need to heal. I mean broken as in done in, overwhelmed, disillusioned, etc.
What is being broken exactly? I would guess it is different things for different people. A traumatic incident that has left one with faith wondering why they are still faithful. A physical change that leaves one unable to do something they used to be able to do easily. An emotional drain to the core of one's being. A mental breakdown of some kind.
I really don't know what broken is for everyone else and honestly I am not sure I would recognize being broken in myself.
Do you look in the mirror and find it shattered where you usually see yourself clearly? Is there an emptiness in your eyes? Do you walk slower? Do you look at the ground when you walk? Do you listen to sad music when you are broken? Do you work more? Do you work less? Do you go through the motions of life but you do not live it?
Can you explain to me to where I can understand how to know if you are broken?
Can you be repaired? What will it take to be repaired? Is it a physical repair, mental repair, emotional repair, all of the above or none of the above? A combination perhaps but who does what repair? How do they know how to repair you? You the individual who is unique just like everyone else. How does anyone know how to repair you if you don't know yourself that you need repaired?
Humans are as tough as steel yet as fragile as glass. Quite a paradox in my mind. Very confusing and almost hypocritic.
If time would stop at this very moment for you what would you leave undone? Are those things undone what causes one to be broken? Is it critical to anyone including yourself that things have been left undone. Is this something you will do when time continues again so it is done before the next time that time stops. Moment by moment life passes and death nears. Moment by moment you lose moments that you can never get back and have probably already forgotten about.
Moments of time forgotten but remembered in pieces like a puzzle to be put in the right order again. Is your puzzle pictures, sounds or both? Do you think literally? Do you dream literally or metaphorically? Do you know what your dreams are?
Have I asked enough questions yet?

I have written a wee bit of a differt blog this time but for a valid reason. I wanted to share some news.
Mr. CSD is finally scheduled for surgery on his left arm/elbow that was broken two years ago. A complication that developed more than one year ago is going to be repaired. Hopefully all goes well and he will have better use of his arm very soon.
I am still about 98% back to my normal after the stroke eight months ago. I hope to continue to heal and only time will tell if that will happen moment by moment.
The gal that has been helping me is still with me and she will be helping me care for Mr. CSD after his surgery. She is doing great, we have accomplished a lot, our dog loves her dog, our cats don't mind her dog and I miss her on the weekends when she is not here.
So I hope you all have a wonderful week.
No thoughts to ponder here since I left them all above.

As usual I wish you restful sleep and peaceful dreams when it comes time for you to wander your timbers of slumber.

I hope Mr. CSD's surgery went well. I am happy to read you are 98% well. Your ponderings are deep. I read them but did not want to "think" them right now. I have been broken, not pleasant at all. I like that you have a person you feel comfortable with to help out at your home, one that is a "pet parent" such as yourself and one that you miss when she is gone for the weekend. That is priceless. Blessings.
