Important People Doing Important Things!

Welcome to my misanthropic journey through life. Is it almost over? God I hope so.

I went on the interview today at 3:30 pm for the Administrative Assistant position. The interview lasted about 30 minutes, and I spoke to 3 people. The interview went OK. They told me they were really impressed with my resume - no typos, well designed and concise. That was nice to hear.

BTW, two of the people knew one of my ex-bosses, and a former co-worker of mine from one of my jobs a few years ago. Don't know if that is good or bad.

Do I think I they will offer me the job?

I have no clue...but...I am guessing more than likely not. I told them I could start anytime (they said they needed someone right away), but they still needed to interview more people over the coming weeks. So it is back to the "hurry up and wait" vibe I have gotten from all of the interviews I have had over the past two months.

Oh well.

I did get an email rejection notice today from a customer service position I applied to a week ago. It said "I was not a good fit." OK. I guess some people like my resume and others don't.

I have another interview tomorrow for an Administrative Assistant position at 10:00 am. Right now, I am just going through the motions.

Don't despair. I know what you mean about "going through the motions". This whole process can be soul killing. You have to keep going forward. Yes, I know it's easier for some stranger to say that than actually be in your shoes.

Good luck on your next interview - you may have had it by now. I really hope one of these two recent ones pans out.

    Hang in there, kiddo.

Thanks! Who knows, maybe I am meant to move on from the rust belt. If my sis can get a job in California (that is where she is looking) I am going to move out with her and try my hand on the west coast. Who knows? Maybe they are not that picky out there.
