People...Please

I have my phone on, and my resume in front of me as I wait for cell phone girl to call me for the 9:30 am phone interview.

9:30 - nothing

9:35 - nothing

9:45 - nothing.

I check my email and lo and behold I got an email from cell phone girl (at 9:00 am) that she had to cancel the appointment, because she had to attend a "meeting." She didn't state in the email that she wanted to reschedule.

Shocking I tell you, just shocking!

Not really, I "ass"-ume cell phone girl had other issues and didn't want to deal with a phone interview with me. Plus she couldn't call me to tell me the interview was canceled, as that would be too "icky." Instead she emails me. Sorry honey, I don't check my email every 10 minutes throughout the day. So instead I sit by the phone waiting for a phone interview that was never going to happen. Nothing like wasting my time, but I guess that is OK for employers to do that.

I emailed back cell phone girl and told her "Good luck with her meeting and career path and I am sure she will find someone awesome for the position."

Ten minutes later I get a rejection email from cell phone girl's HR boss (I "ass"-ume) saying I was rejected for the CSR position. Thank God I finally forced someone to send me a rejection notice!

Big wow. I would never work for such a disorganized company anyway. But again, that's JUST ME.

I did call back the other company this morning, regarding a CSR position, and I had a quick 10 minute phone interview. The man told me there would be 2 onsite interviews before they decide to hire someone. Seems like a lot of work to hire for a low paying CSR position. Whatever. I doubt I will hear back from that job so I will put it on my spreadsheet as a rejection.

I am trying to be positive but most of the people out there hiring for jobs are clueless and downright liars. At least that has been my experience the past 2 months during my job search.

Intelligence Has Slipped to New Lows

Hey wow! I had a phone interview scheduled for this morning as well.

No one called. No email, no nothing.

Tears! (not). So I emailed the "girl" back and said "were you supposed to call me?" No response.

Oh, I forgot, she previously sent some blank message to me confirming the interview with no time, no number she was going to call, nothing. All it was was a blank email with a skype footer asking for a PIN I don't have and was never given.

Okey Dokey Smokey. Intelligence certainly has slipped in the past decade almost to animal levels (but then that would be a disservice to animals).
