Plain & Simple

Romans 10:9 - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. -
It is often said of things that simpler is better, and I don't think this scripture could get any simpler or better. It could be called the Gospel in a teaspoon. Many people will say "there must be more to it than that", but no. We should trust God's word instead of our own feelings that are naturally opposed to God. Even the simplest word of God is still the word of God and we can believe it (Romans 3:4 - ... Let God be true, and every human being a liar). Romans 10:9 is as simple as the life of Christ himself. He came here from Heaven with a simple birth, he led a simple life, even his type of death on the cross was reserved for common criminals. What a contrast between then and now (John 13:3 - Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God) He has become our Savior and the final authority of all things. What About Jesus?
