Sunday ~~ May 1, 2016 ~~ How many songs can you listen to.....

Posted 05-01-2016 at 10:29 PM by CSD610

before you reach the end of the three scoops of ice cream in your bowl?
For me it is two songs.

Now that the biggest discovery of the weekend has been revealed, how was your weekend? Mine was good, I have felt good just tired, I got a wee bit of cross stitch done, I have several new crochet projects started and all three of our animals are healthy, happy and spoiled.

The next couple weeks is going to be on the way to the final push to get our home finished, unpacked, sorted, donated, put away and filed.

It will be good to have all of this done so we can move on to normal daily living and maintaining.

We have a couple of electrical issues to get taken care of but overall nothing serious.
We have two rooms to get painted, some shelves to build and put up, carpet cleaned and things hung on the walls but this is mainly cosmetic not necessity.

The basement could be organized a bit better and it will be before this month ends. This process has taken a while however, it has not taken as long as it would have if we had to do these things by ourself.

We are beyond grateful for the help we have had and will retain said help in the future but only for help maintaining and repairs.

The availability will also depend on their schedule in regards to other employment.
I am going to venture to guess we will have them either Saturday morning, afternoon or every other Saturday morning or afternoon.
We shall see in the future which it will be.

Otherwise nothing very exciting except I was watching a particular thread that had really gotten interesting. Then I went and took a nap and when I got back the thread had disappeared. It is unfortunate but not surprising.

I have had many thoughts wandering around loose in my thoughts this past week and I came to realize that I have started remembering things from 20 years ago that have no valid place in my current life.
I suppose it all comes with the healing of my brain from the stroke as to the reason why these memories are coming forth.

I currently have idea what county I live in but I can tell you my ex husband's drivers license number, social security number, truck license plate number and motorcycle license plate number.

It is odd how memories flow in and out of our lives and most of the time we have no idea why the memory came at the moment it did. The trigger for the memory could be anything or nothing, a random memory from a random thought brought on by a random scent through a random window on a random road going nowhere in particular.

I like memories most of the time but there are those things I would prefer to keep hidden in that deep dark place that no one ever sees, especially me.
That not so random part of one's soul that is behind the curtain, behind the wall, behind the steel door, behind the lock, behind the safe, behind the rock, where no light, sound, or emotion is present. You know that place right?

It is right under that very thick veil of pretend that everything is just fine and what you show the outside world of humanity.

So anyway, a few thoughts to ponder if you choose to ponder.

Do you like yoga socks?
Do you use toothpaste or gel?
Are your boots black?
Do you have a bird?

As usual I wish you restful sleep and peaceful dreams when it comes time for you to wander your timbers of slumber.
