"No rules" does not sound safe or healthy or wise to me. Our society has laws to keep people safe and healthy. I have rules for my kids as a parent. Drivers follow rules on the road. Without rules there would be a big old mess.

Religion is based on fear - Spirituality is based only on love.
my religion teaches that the highest form of devotion and service to God is love, that love is a more elevated state than fear.

Religion tells you what to believe – Spirituality lets you discover it.
There are people who are a whole lot smarter than I am. I recognize this. I am happy to avail myself of the wisdom of the sages. Their brilliance is both dazzling and practical.

Religion divides and separates - Spirituality unites
The cornerstone of my religion is unity. The most important prayer of my religion, which we say several times daily is for unity.

Religion tells you that you must walk their path - Spirituality encourages you to walk your own path
My religion says every person has equal access to God. It prohibits proselytizing. It prohibits telling others to walk this path.

Religion tells us that we are born sinners - Spirituality does no such thing
My religion does not teach this.

Religion teaches you that you are not responsible for your actions - Spirituality teaches you that you alone are fully responsibly for your actions and the life that you live.
My religion holds me fully responsible for my thought, speech, actions, and feelings, 24/7 around the clock no matter what I am doing.
