Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

See-saw Weight Issue Never Stops For Case
Posted 04-07-2016 at 05:44 PM by case44
I love to eat. There are times that I have to pause from the things I love to either fast a little bit or just eat less. The problem is, I don't do that challenging expedition often enough.
Mind you, I'm no expert on dieting and exercise, so you can't really expect me, your favorite blogger, to give you advice on either. Ol' Case is just doing the hokey-pokey around the 260-pound line. I'm supposed to be south of it and going down, but I somehow keep going north. Life's pendulums get real crazy. I'm not the youth I used to be, but the real advantage today is I'm distinguished. Gray hair, you know. That see-saw keeps going, though. Down. Up. Down. Up. Dow -- er, up? Down again. Up again. Down,... no, up.
When did I decide to become a ride at Six Flags? Wait your turn.
I'll be seeing my doctor for an important appointment tomorrow. It's just routine, of course, but there will be a physical. Look, I've got nothing against fruits and veggies, as I ought to harbor a greater appreciation for things that grow out of the ground. I've also got nothing against exercise, but the stationary bike is the only thing I can do consistently. One of these days, I'll try to cut back on bigger meals twice a day and focus on nibbling on smaller (and, in some cases, healthier) things more often. That's the advice given to me by a co-worker. Don't you just hate it when a co-worker ends up being right?
So much for hitting below 258 for tomorrow (Ssshhh! That's what I checked in with last time at the doc's office). Jockeying for position can sometimes be a real pain.
