My Icebox

What's in yours ?
I decided to clean mine today, it's been about 10 years since the last cleaning. It was pretty filthy. I started by taking everything out and putting all the stuff on the table. The hardest part in doing that was the syrup bottle, I keep it on the little plastic shelf on the icebox door and all of that syrup that dripped down the side of the bottle epoxied it to the shelf and I damn near tore the shelf off yanking on the bottle. I then discovered I had 5 plastic mustard bottles, each one had just a little bit of mustard. My plan was to put all the mustard from them into one bottle. I removed the lids from two of them and balanced one upside down on top of the other on my counter. I got tired of looking at that yellow hourglass, and that's how long it was taking to empty, so I used a knife and cut the other bottles in half, almost slicing off a finger, and just spooned it out. I then had to clean the mustard from my counter. I used a hot wash rag to clean out the icebox and then put most of the stuff back in, I pronounced the rest dead because of the expiration date and that ended up in the trash. The next time I get bored I think I'll clean out the cabinet where I keep the soup cans and peanut butter, It has a funny smell in there. I'm not sure what all is in there that can be giving off that smell, kind of smells like cinnamon and garlic. Once my sister's grandkid had a birthday over here and being as cheap as I am I put the used candles in the cabinet to save for another birthday. A couple of years ago I lost power and went most of the summer without air conditioning and I know it got over 100 degrees in the kitchen. Now all of those candles melted and made a big wax mess in there so that will be the first thing I will have to clean.
