My Cat Loves Potatoes

I used to think it was because of what was on them, French fries had a lot of grease and the mashed potatoes had milk/butter in them with gravy on top. But the other day while he was on the sofa, probably watching tv, I brought a potato in from my grill outside and set it on a plate on the table. As I was removing the foil for it to cool he came trotting into the kitchen, " Is that Mickey done yet? " I was getting a soda out of the icebox when he hopped up on the table and stuck his face near the spud and backed away when the steam burned his schnoz. The only thing I had on it was a little bit of black pepper. When it finally cooled I gave him half and he ate all but the skin. I found that cat last year hiding behind a dumpster in an alley and I figure that's why he likes my cooking, reminds him of the garbage he used to scarf out of the trash.

Does your cat sleep in your bed ?
I thought mine did when I first got him because he would come in my room and jump up on the bed when I was getting ready to snooze. He would be there when I went to sleep and then wake me up in the morning for his fish. I found out later that he just waited for me to go to sleep because a few times I woke up in the middle of the night and heard him in another room rifling through my belongings. I knew he was a thief when I brought him home. Once he wakes me up and eats his breakfast he goes to sleep, usually on the sofa or in the window if it's real sunny outside.Posted 03-15-2016 at 05:59 PM by aliasfinn
