Cold Mornings

Don't you hate them? Going out to your car hoping there's enough in your battery to start it, or if it sat out in the cold for a long time you can feel how hard the tires got, it's like driving a shopping cart. It is supposed to get down to 4 degrees tonight. This morning I had to go to the store and I saw a man walking his dog. They were on the sidewalk waiting to cross the street and I noticed the guy was just wearing a flannel shirt but no coat. He had a ski cap on but it wasn't pulled down and his ears looked like slices of tomatoes. I could see steam coming from his dog's butt and wondered what he had for breakfast. Even with all the clothes I had on I was still cold, my car never did warm up and I was glad to get back home. I came in, closed the door and stuffed the towel back at the bottom and went back to bed. I can't wait till summer.
