There are 6 castles in Canada and Toronto is fortunate to have a most magnificent Edwardian era castle.
Sitting atop a hill "Casa Loma"looking south on downtown Toronto and north to Forest Hill.
Started by Sir Henry Mill Pellatt in 1911 and finished 3 years later. He lived there for 10 years until financial ruin caused him to vacate his castle. It's now used as an entertainment and sight seeing venue.
The castle is surrounded by 5 acres of beautiful gardens and fountains which attracted thousands of people in the summer.
