Sharon MA could be your next home!

Posted 01-05-2016 at 02:19 PM by MelissaMay29

I decided not to make any New Year’s resolutions this year because you know what, life is too short to beat myself up at the gym or starve myself of delicious foods. This year’s New Year resolution is about enjoying life, slowing down and spending more time with my kids. Ok, but I still have to get to yoga at least 4 days a week for my sanity. So last weekend during my yoga commitment time I overheard this young mother discuss her morning run. She decided to get up at 5:30AM on a Saturday and run 4 miles with the rest of her mommy friends and then come to a 60 minute hot power yoga class. But we are in yoga so it is a judge free environment. During her run she had the chance to see the most beautiful sun rise over Lake Massapoag. She described the striking colors of red and orange and how it came up like a single column. I was fascinated with her description and it reminded me of how much I think of Sharon MA as a potential place to call home. The community is active, people constantly walking, running, and biking, either around the lake or around town. It’s the home for some of the best ice cream and milk around, Crescent Ridge. Crescent ridge will even offer home delivery. It’s a perfect option for families with young kids who drink milk by the gallon. It also has this incredible farm stand, Wards Berry Farm, which is a family farm that has been running since 1982. Here you can get locally grown vegetables, gourmet foods and the best deli sandwiches. Sharon also abuts Borderland State Park which is beautiful to hike, picnic, horseback ride, and, in the winter; sledding and ice skating. Sharon is that quaint town tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Boston but close enough to enjoy the city life.
