Great News For Saugeen Shores and Area

Hi to everyone!
This is my first post to this blog platform. Being part of the City Data, I would like to concentrate on the area that I live in which is Saugeen Shores and area. More specifically, this area is comprised of Port Elgin, Southampton and Saugeen Township; all located in Ontario, Canada. I am also located close to Owen Sound to the north and Kincardine to the south.
We live on the beautiful sandy shores of Lake Huron and we are home to one of the world's most beautiful sunsets.
Although we have a very healthy recreational crown infusion in the warm weather months, it has been the effort of our main employer, Bruce Power, which has seen us through our many years or growth.
Not to disappoint, we have just recently learned that this will carry on as read in a tweet that was put out by Bruce Power in December; "Bruce Power's refurbishment will indirectly create about 5000 jobs annually, infusing up to $1.2 billion in labour income into Ontario's economy each year."
We have noticed a steady infusion of new commercial entities locating to our area which is a positive sign.
Port Elgin offers a bustling little community that serves the residents well and Southampton, which is 5 miles to the north, is a quaint community with lots of boutique shopping and a bakeshop that has made magazine headlines.
If you are considering relocating to the area, I would be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have. I have lived in this lovely area for 48 years and have witnessed the ups and downs. We are currently on the upswing and, I believe, it can only get better.
