Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.![Stick Out Tongue](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

Setting A New Record..............For Free Whataburgers
Posted 12-20-2015 at 07:02 PM by case44
It is quite possible to do better at a restaurant than you can at the Texas Lottery.
After all, who really cares about winning ten dollars on the All or Nothing game when all I really want is a clever way to get a double-meat Whataburger with fries at a reduced price?
Now imagine getting a receipt with a survey to get you a free Whataburger.................on four straight visits!![EEK!](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Well, that's been the scenario of late, and it's only happened in the last eight days. Four Whataburger locations for dinners and on-the-go breakfusses, and four receipts to take a survey with. Sounds like a new personal record, if you ask me, and so, I'll go with that. And that's not all; on one of those drive-thru visits, the receipt also came with a coupon to get a free Whataburger!
At this rate, there's no way this writer can keep up. I'm not complaining, mind you, but it's either impeccable timing, or Whataburger is being a little more generous at Christmas time. Whichever the case..........for The Case
.........., I can take that. Besides, discounts are hard to turn down when you have a real chance to take advantage.
And if you don't like discounts, well, you just don't like pouring salt liberally all over a hot order of Whataburger's fries.

And yet another thing this morning: I waited 10 minutes for a breakfast on a bun in the Whataburger drive-thru. Ten minutes. And my server decided to make my next B O B on him since I waited as long as I did.

Oh, and there's still more: My supervisor at work praised me for a job well done today. What did she give me?
Drumroll, please.......
