Running Trails and Parks in Chandler, Arizona

Running Trails and Parks in Chandler, Arizona

Running Trails and Parks in Chandler Arizona. Among so many wonderful things about Chandler, Arizona is that Chandler has some great running trails and parks! These parks are wonderfully well-designed AND well-maintained. They're family-friendly and are great for many athletic events, including what I use them for - running.

Veteran's Oasis Park:

I run quite a bit at this park. It's located at Chandler Heights & Lindsay Roads. This park has a lake - which is stocked (fishing permit required), amphitheater, rec/education center, ramadas and many trail paths to walk, run or bike on. All of the paths, except those around the lake - which are sidewalk, are all dirt trails. These are perfect for running as the surface is gentle on your joints and body.

Veteran's Oasis Park Chandler, AZ - discharge Lake in Winter:

Tumbleweed Park:

Located at Germann & McQueen roads, Tumbleweed Park has tennis courts, rec center/gym, playground, many grassy areas, ramadas, some dirt paths and many other things. Walking, running and biking can be done around the park on the dirt paths, sidewalks or around the outer portion of the park - which is asphalt.

Paseo Trail on the Consolidated Canal:

While not a park, The Paseo Trail is a trail that runs along side of the Consolidated Canal. The Chandler portion of this canal roughly begins at Chandler Blvd & Cooper and runs south to roughly Riggs & Arizona Ave. The canal has different surfaces that differ in areas of the trail: Dirt, Asphalt and Sidewalk. The trail is great for walking, running, biking and is also equestrian-friendly. Use caution when crossing major roads as some crossings do not have cross-walks nor light signals.

While this is a short list of the many wonderful parks and places to run in the Chandler area - I hope this gives you an idea of how great The City of Chandler is and what a great job the City Planners have done and continue to do with this lovely city!
