On Wednesday I had a very informative tour of the Tides IV luxury condos that are being constructed by East West Partners. The new building is being constructed next to the two existing Tides condo buildings overlooking Charleston harbor. Sales and construction of the seven story, 54 unit residential tower are ahead of schedule as buyers have already committed to purchase 20 of the units in order to take advantage of the pre-completion pricing currently available.

It is interesting to note but not surprising that the majority of interest in the units has so far come from long-time residents of Mount Pleasant who desired to stay in the area and simply downsize from a large house and yard to a modern, more manageable condo with terrific views and amenities. It is hard to beat the location next to Mount Pleasant’s Waterfront Park, which is just a short hop across the bridge to downtown Charleston and a short six mile jaunt out to the Sullivan’s Island beach.
