Your view above are false.
1. Before Muhammad declared himself a warner, the Qureshi pagans, Jews and Christian were practicing their respective spirituality and religions harmoniously.
2. Then Muhammad a local guy suddenly experienced some psychological altered states of consciousness where others [not known to himself] told him he was the chosen agent of God. Note this is a common experience even at present where someone will declare himself to be selected by God when in reality it is a personal psychological issue. There is no such thing as a God chosen representative.
3. The fact is who can ever respect the local guy -Muhammad - whom most of the locals has known for 40 years to be an ordinary Joe. It is just like Donald Trump or some we know for umpteen years suddenly declaring he is chosen by God to speak on his behalf to mankind! This is why his favored uncle did not buy Muhammad's fake story from the start because he knew Muhammad inside out.
4. When Muhammad introduced his new religion and he insulted the Qureshi praying to idols and thus this started the initial antagonism. It is the Qureshi that tolerated Muhammad taunting of their religion. Obviously the Qureshi will retaliate back, i.e. we know you, the local boy next door for 40 years and now you are telling us you are the chosen one by Allah.
5. After Muhammad was rejected by the Qureshi for very obvious reasons, he tried to preach to the Jews with certain reconciliatory elements from the Torah and other stories but when he was rejected by the smarter Jews but he remained patient [due to lack of strength]. After he was rejected by the Jews he tried the Christians but he was also rejected by the Christians. After each rejection he condemned the Jews for changing and hiding certain elements. He cursed the Christians by bringing in sons as rivals and the Trinity [he presented in inaccurately].
6. It was Muhammad who started the whole problem without any solid grounds nor basis where his insulted the teachings of the Qureshi, Jews and Christians. From this provocations there is natural continual tit-for-tat that got worse and worse. Naturally, since Muhammad did not stop the pagans and the others tried to do something about it. If Muhammad had not started the whole thing from the wrong interpretation of his altered states experience, none the tit-for-that would have happened.
7. It was only fortunate for Muhammad that he won [due to greater aggression] over the Meccan pagans, Jews and Christian, and that was very unfortunate for humanity up to this day.
Your presentation that the polytheists attack first is a false view and WRONG.
What I presented in 1-7 above is the most plausible scenario which can be verified by similar incidents throughout history.
