Sunday ~~ July 19, 2015 ~~ I got a new baseball style cap this weekend.

Posted 07-19-2015 at 09:49 PM by CSD610

Not that it is a life changing event or anything but it was generous of the giver to include me.

My neighbors had Mr. Neighbors family reunion last weekend and Mrs. Neighbors family reunion this weekend.

I was invited to both, I attended both, I helped clean up both and today I got a new baseball style cap; last weekend I got an ice scraper for my vehicle.

Mrs. Neighbor is quite possibly the most organized, formal, beautiful table setting woman I know. It seems everything she does or touches is breathtaking and beautiful. She is so creative and everything is set properly with a theme and colorful and seasonal and so warm, welcome and inviting.

All of the food was excellent as well and some of it is store bought but the rest is brought by those who attend or made by Mrs. Neighbor. It was fun to attend both and their families accept us as one of their own since we have been going to the reunions for so many years.

Other than those two things nothing too exciting has been going on. Well, unless you want to count watching numerous youtube videos on the proper way to organize, fold and store fabric.

Those videos are pretty much up in the top ten for entertainment value. I'm sure of it, really, I promise.

We are still looking at homes and property to purchase but it is so hard to do much because we live about a 5 hour drive away from the area we are looking. I also have responsibilities at home with daily chores, caring for our critters and I never know if I am going to be able to physically drive to look at a home or two on any given day because of my illness.

I'm sure we will find our home soon but I do hope that soon is before my birthday in October or at least before snow falls.

So this is going to be short this week because I have not felt well all day and I am tired.

A few thoughts to ponder if you choose to.

Do you like pot lucks?
Do you like buffet restaurants?
Do you take things to a gathering?
Do you make something or stop and pick it up at the grocery?
Do you take any vitamins daily?

As usual I wish you restful sleep and peaceful dreams when it comes time for you to wander your timbers of slumber.

Sounds like fun times. Glad you are accepted by both families.
I hope you are now feeling better. Answers to your questions:

    1. I enjoy attending Pot Lucks, but I always bring something I like and will eat because I am funny when it comes to others' food. If I don't know what is in it, or it is some current "health food" (quinoa comes to mind, looks like maggots), I won't touch it.

    2. Yes, but because these are a fixed price due to all you can eat, I don't usually go to this type of restaurant. They MAKE money off of me.

    3. Always.

    4. I work 2 PT jobs so I don't have alot of spare time, so I will pick something up from a local BBQ place, such as potato salad or beans, or Chex Mix or Walker's Shortbread cookies (I have tins for both that are perfect for the contents), if an appetizer or dessert are requested.

    5. Yes, a "complete" B vitamin and a Biotin daily.
