Sunday ~~ July 5, 2015 ~~ The day after.......

Posted 07-05-2015 at 09:23 PM by CSD610

There is an answer that can be as varied as the individuals who are reading this blog. The day after, after what? What is considered the day after? Is it the next day, and tomorrow it will be the day before but the next day it will be the day before the next day and round and round the carousel turns and eventually they all become the day after.

Some statements mean one thing but the way that statement is heard can be a completely different definition according to the one who heard that statement.

For now I will stick with the current day after and what it means. It means yesterday many people in the United State of America gathered together with friends and family and celebrated independence, breaking ties with those who were perceived to be oppressive of our rights and freedoms as citizens.

For us it meant a day of staying home, cooking supper, getting laundry done and getting in some extra sleep. Not that we are not patriotic we are just very happy to stay home. I also do not do well in crowds so we do tend to stay away from places that will have large crowds.

We did see a few fireworks but it was only because the people who live about 1/4 mile up the road from us had a large gathering at their home and had a fireworks display. It was very pretty and I enjoyed what I did see. I did not however enjoy the live band until 2:00am. Such is life and it is over and I did not lose too much sleep in all honesty.

Moving on to other news, well not really news just a continued thought in regards to the day after. For some today is the day after a baby was born, a parent died, a job was lost, a job was found, gasoline ran out of their vehicle, an arm was broken, a fight was fought, sand got in their shoes, they baked the perfect loaf of bread for the first time.

There is really no way to list absolutely every possible event that happened the day before to have the actual "The Day After". You can fill in those events if you want.

The other part of this is how many days after can you list? One, ten, one hundred, one thousand? That is the best part of a statement that is left open ended without an actual correct answer. You can fill in as many or as few of "The Day Afters" that you want.

Anyway, there are still things to sort, properties to look at, calls to make, dogs to feed, cats to water and grass to mow and no it is not greener on the other side of the fence however that is only because there is no fence.

With the current holiday past this is the point of the year that we know that winter is on it's way and will be here before anyone is really prepared for it overall. Will you start to prepare for winter as much as possible soon or will you wait?

Anyway, it is time to leave you for this eve to ponder if you choose thoughts that come from me.

Do you like popcorn?
Do you use mouthwash?
Do you like the taste of peppermint?
Do you own purple gloves?

As usual I wish you restful sleep and peaceful dreams when it comes time for you to wander your timbers of slumber.

I wanna know why people look at your blog but not post any comments. I am here to answer your "pop quiz".....

    1. Love popcorn, but only with REAL butter. The idea of eating the fake yellow lard that some call butter turns my stomach.

    2. I use the purple mouth whatever, wash? rinse? My dentist has instructed me to use it. The generic store brand is fine, I got the OK. And I can take "the burn".

    3. Peppermint gives me heartburn so I do not eat it in any way, shape or form. I do like wintergreen and spearmint flavors.

    4. No to the purple gloves. Does purple lipstick count? Then yes, I do own purple lipstick.

Your quizzes are fun. I like your blog.
