Thursday ~~ July 2, 2015 ~~ Regrets........

Posted 07-02-2015 at 11:08 AM by CSD610

What are regrets, who invented the word or the concept and why do you allow them to affect you on a daily basis?

Why spend the time and energy on regrets? There is no changing the past so there is no reason to regret a decision made in the past.
I'm sure at that moment in time the decision that was made was the best decision to make given the circumstance. No one can change their past or hide from it no matter how many times you move, change your hair color, change your eye color with contacts, change your name or try to drink away the facts.

It may not be a pretty past but it is yours and if you did what you did or did not do without devious motives there is nothing to regret.

Otherwise how is your day? Our day is pretty slow and we are just now getting around to having breakfast even though it is lunch time. We have a wee bit of laundry to wash and dry. We have more than a wee bit of clean laundry to get folded and put away. We have dishes to do, sweeper to run, floors to mop and a bathroom to scrub. None of the above is a big deal and it will all get done at some point today or tomorrow.

Do you have plans for the July 4th celebration? We don't but we rarely do, we are very much the stay at home type and I really do not like big crowds at all. I will tolerate a big crowd sometimes but we mainly try to stand around the outer edge of a crowd if we are still able to see what is going on at the event we are attending.

I made 3 mini loves of banana bread the other day and it turned out delicious. It was moist on the inside with a good texture. The outside was a darker brown and had a nice crusty bite to it. It sliced beautifully and the real butter I used on it was just enough to put it right over the divine edge of flavor.

We are still looking at real estate to purchase and it is still a frustrating endeavor. We found several homes and our real estate agent went and looked at them for us. The homes are all owned by the same person and being used as rentals currently. Our real estate agent said they are all basically slumlord trash and not worth a wooden nickel. Okay, four more tossed into the trash and we keep looking.

So today I was looking again and found vacant property that is in the right area we are looking but a bit on the high side price wise. Both lots have all utilities available and one lot is 0.64 of an acre the other is 0.95.
We like both equally and Mr. CSD likes the bigger lot just because it is a bigger lot. I really would prefer the smaller lot because the taxes are less, it will be less to mow and maintain and it appears there was a home on the property at one time so we can build, purchase a double wide mobile home and put it there or purchase a manufactured home and put it there. We are actually hoping we can hook up our motor home and take at least a year to build.

Then we can draw our home exactly as we want it and we can do the actual building outselves and have the plumbing and electric done by someone else. Then we can also go room by room after we get it under roof and get each room completed before we start on the next room. That way we save for all of the materials needed for one room, make that purchase then start saving for the materials for the next room. This will ensure that our home will be completely paid off as soon as the last nail is put in the wall. We would also be paying cash for the property so there will be no financing for any part of the land or home.

We have to find out what the building guidelines are in this area and if they fall within what we hope they do we can start loading the trucks any time and move within a couple weeks.

Anyway I can smell the bacon so I'm sure it is almost done and I need to get into the kitchen and get our eggs scrambled so we can have breakfast.

We also need to go to the grocery and pick up a few things as well.

I will leave you with a few things to ponder if you choose to:

Do you prefer a printer that does nothing but print or do you want a multi purpose printer?

Do you clean your own home or have someone come in a clean it for you?

Are you particular about how you hang laundry outside on the line, if you hang laundry?

Do you like White Chili with chicken or turkey in it?

As usual I wish you all restful sleep and peaceful dreams when it comes time for you to wander your timbers of slumber.
