Sunday ~~ June 21, 2015 ~~ I saved 20 miners today without missing any....

Posted 06-21-2015 at 09:07 PM by CSD610

No I did not "literally" save 20 miners today, I was playing Royal Envoy and it took me more than several games to grab all those guys but that achievement award is done.

The last few I have are going to take a while and I may just let our Grandsons try to finish up those for me. They like computer games.

Otherwise we had a huge storm come through our area last night. The thunder and lightening was so loud, light and long both our girls (cats) were under our bed and Walter (our dog) was so close to Mr. CSD I think he was trying to get into his skin.

The power went out so we just went and snuggled into bed and as soon as we got settled down and comfortable both cats and the dog were right in the bed with us and there was going to be no getting them off the bed either. Sometimes the battle is just not worth it and they all 3 were shaking so bad we really did not have the heart to put them down anyway. They felt much more secure being close to us which I understand.

I have become quite frustrated with looking at homes recently because we finally found another home that we both loved and would be very happy and comfortable in. The day after we looked at it someone else looked at it and it is under contract. This is the 6th home in the last year that has done this.

So I decided I have had enough looking for a while and the first thing my Mother did this morning is capture me on text and start sending me homes that she thinks are a possibility. So I sat with the iPad Mini in front of me and my laptop and looked at all of the homes she suggested. We spent almost 2 hours doing that, thankfully my Niece stopped by to see her Dad (my brother) for Father's Day so I was released from the iPad and looking at homes.

It wore me out so I just went and took a nap....LOL

There are some possibilities in the group we looked at today but I am not going to drive the 5 hours again just to look at 1 or 2 homes. I have decided to look from today through Tuesday and as I go along I will print copies of the listings then email our Real Estate agent the addresses. She will then go and look at the homes and let me know which ones she feels could be in the running. Then we will make the 5 hour drive to go and look at the homes and we will pick my Mother up along the way so she can go and look with us.

Hopefully we will find something this round that we can just pay for and be done with it all. We are not financing anything so all we need to do is make an offer, have it accepted and write the check.

The only reason we did not do that with the last home we found we love is because it really is above the price we are comfortable with so we wanted to take a day or so to discuss the price, what to offer, etc. to keep us in our comfort zone and still get the home. So much for that plan.

Anyway, the rest of this week is supposed to be hot and humid which means I will be staying inside as usual which is fine with me.
Other than the home hunting I will continue to get things packed and sorted so by the time we do actually find a home I will only have the things we use daily in the kitchen, our furniture and our clothing to pack.

So I will leave you with a few questions to ponder if you choose to do so:

Do you have a movie that you could watch over and over and never watch another movie?
Do you have an album that you could listen to without ever listening to another album?
Do you have a computer game you can do the same with?
Do you wear purple socks?
Do you sleep on your side?
Have you used the same toothpaste your entire life?

As usual I wish you restful sleep and peaceful dreams when it comes time for you to wander your timbers of slumber...
