Accepted job in Memphis but looking elsewhere for living.

Germantown in a nice area. It's right next to Memphis. There is also Collierville which is the next town after Germantown. Both are safe communities.
If you want something with a little more liveliness. Overton Square and Midtown are neighborhoods in Memphis.
I have also heard good things about Harbor Town. We are pretty new to the area too so I haven't been there.
