Kids expectations

Posted 02-08-2015 at 12:16 AM by nooshb

Kids in this era, expect a lot from their parents. Gone are the days kids bowed to their parents, were thankful and were assets to their parents. Now, they're more like liability!!
I love my son and I think parents love for their children has not changed over the ages, it's the expectations we have increased in our kids that has changed the dynamics. I feel some days that the more I do for my son, the more dissatisfied he becomes if I refuse any of his other demands. How did I raise him to be so demanding?? Is the answer to do less for him? Love spoils kids and I'm afraid Ive spolied him. I need to keep my balance of health and rest to work. It's not easy being a single parent either. And on the other hand, I'd like to raise him to have a healthy realistic demands of others, not bring up a son who thinks people who love him owe him something.
