Battle of Dutch Harbor

In June 1942 the Japanese launched a two aircraft carrier raid against the US Naval Base at Dutch Harbor Alaska. 43 Americans were killed and a barracks ship destroyed along with 11 US planes.A hospital was damaged and several oil tanks were set on fire. Most people never knew about the event because of a news blackout.
