Got Apartment!

I just wanted to share information on time it took from application to getting apartment. I applied in 2012 and got an interview on Dec 2013 at NYCHA. I picked Brooklyn because I was told it would be faster. In Feb 2014 I was sent a list of housing complexes in Brooklyn that may possibly have an opening coming up. I picked Stuyvesant Gardens 1. I received a call in October that they had apartment and I went in to see it and got it right away. I'm currently in a 2 bedroom apartment with my 15 year old son. I'm a single working parent. Very happy!
