Ocean pH will go from 8 to 5 and it is not clear what planktons, diatoms and algae do in a mild acid. We know most sea life is intolerant of pH change. The last time Earth had a CO2 level like 4000 ppm was during the Carboniferous. However, this increase is being done in hundreds to maybe 2000 years which is sudden by geologic time scales. Life will be hard pressed to adapt and I include human beings.
