Why I want to move to California

Posted 09-21-2014 at 09:02 AM by MItoBH

I have been living in Michigan all my life, save for the five years I lived on the East Coast in Maryland, New Jersey, and NYC/Manhattan. I left NYC weeks after 9/11. I hate winters here in Michigan and after my latest visit to LA in June 2014, I have decided that I will relocate to the LA area, as soon as I get some financial matters in order, and develop my resume more to align with jobs I want to obtain in LA.

What attracts me to LA is the weather, the opportunities, the lifestyles, the ocean access. Every time I visit Venice, I feel like I'm home, it's so natural. Yes, like everywhere else, LA/California has problems, some significant problems, but I am aware of these but I still want to relocate there. I cannot deal with another winter in a state/region of the country that I no longer feel an affinity towards.

Michigan will always be my home state and I'll visit regularly, but California will be my future home state in due time.
