House on Blanco Road

As was mentioned in DM, the house you are speaking of was the Perkins mansion. An impressive place in its (even late) day. It was occupied by two elderly sisters in the 1950's. Very nice and gracious ladies.

Apparently the house and the immediate property, ( mainly the looong lot to the west of the mansion) were all that remained of what must have been a very large land holding in earlier years Given the size of the corral west of the house, it was a rather large holding.
