Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Bad Golf My Way: Why I Would Never Play The Greens
You'll never see me attempt to do a Jack Nicklaus imitation at some local golf course. Nope. It'll never happen. I've tried golf a long time ago, but that course I played on will never be the same again.
The discovery came more than twenty years ago when I spent an afternoon with a friend and we played golf at a local course. It was hot, and we had no caddy. The discovery is this: I'm very good at bad golf. Really. That 18-hole course I played on was turned into a 55-hole course when all was said and done on the back nine. Oh, sure, I can putt, but I'm still a master at bad golf. You see, I don't have the patience or the mettle for golf. I can't even see where the ball landed once I've actually launched the thing into the air. Oh, it was a laugh a minute. It was also embarrassing, considering the people behind me waiting to get their turn. And waiting. Aaaannnnd........waiting......
For what it's worth, Ol' Case can just dream about playing golf great, because I can't in reality. Such is on one hand, but let's briefly look at the other. That tennis racket I have in my closet could use more work than a friend's golf clubs.
