Plane Down: Who's to Blame?

Posted 07-18-2014 at 04:28 AM by Fortoggie

Tragedy! Plane shot down. Two hundred and ninety five dead! On another site I have been in a discussion about choices people make. Some have been arguing strongly that life is all about making good choices. Whereas, I have been saying that people do not always have good choices or even the chance to make a choice at all. Where was CHOICE involved in this? Where was time and chance involved? Some claim that nothing happens without God either causing it or permitting it and still others say, everything happens for a reason. Where do you come down on all this?
There were some choices made in this flight but only to get from one place to another. Even the people on the ground who fired the rocket probably thought they were firing at another target.
I am not brave enough nor foolish enough to blame God for any kind of involvement in this tragedy. Nor can I think of even one reason why this needed to happen.
Already many are calling for our president to do something about this downed airplane. For now we should just be grateful it wasn't an American plane and lets hope that our president doesn't over react and get us involved in still another war.

You are right in that God had nothing to do with it. I do not think you need to worry that our "President" will over-react. He is to busy spending our money on a vacation. He does not care about our own people, he will not care about that horrific plane crash. The best we can do is pray for comfort for the families who have lost their loved ones.

[B]Whats the tally so far ? well since March 2014, we have 2 x Malasian Air B777s with 300 passengers a piece, 1 TransAsia ATR 72 with 50 passengers dead and now a B737 Air Algerie with 100 dead, grand total since March is 750 fare paying air passengers losing their lives through lack of choice and we still do not know exactly where the passengers of the first Malaysian Air B777 are..................and who can blame God ?
